History

The seminar centre evolved in a natural process.

The Himmelsbach family has lived and worked on the Lotus del Mar estate since 1980. While father Berthold operated a naturopathy practice, mother Anny Marlene took care of expansion and renovation of the buildings. Son David contributed countless creative ideas and actively got involved in running of the business.

The Pyramid was built in the grounds of Finca Margaretha in 1988 as a place of retreat, meditation and encounter.

With the Pyramid, Lotus del Mar also became a meeting place for spiritual and cultural activities. More space subsequently had to be created to cater to this new development.

Thus the present-day Namasté Seminar Centre with adjoining naturopathy practice for father Berthold was built on the foundations of an old finca in 2002. The rooms were to continue serving mankind when father Berthold retired and son David took over management of the estate. Today they are integrated into the seminar centre and serve as multipurpose rooms.
